Rheology Testers
The rheological properties of plastics are used to identify the polymer melt flow behavior in the processing conditions and for basic Quality Control of materials. CEAST Rheology Systems easily and accurately measure fundamental data of any thermoplastic material such as the Melt Flow Rate or Melt Flow Index (MFR or MFI) and Melt Volume Rate (MVR). For a more complete characterization of the rheological behavior, there is a complete line of Capillary Rheometers, both a floor model and a new advanced bench top series, specifically designed for R&D, process evaluations (injection moulding, extrusion, blow moulding), and Advanced Quality Control.

The Instron® line of CEAST Capillary Rheometers measures the rheological behavior of thermoplastic polymers and composites under processing conditions. Fundamental properties like Melt Strength, Thermal Conductivity, Die Swell, and PVT behavior can be measured and simulate processes such as injection moulding, extrusion, blow moulding, and film blowing.
